The Fuel Pump Suction Control Valve (SCV) is a component of the fuel system in diesel engines. It is responsible for regulating the amount of fuel that is drawn from the fuel tank and sent to the high pressure fuel pump.
The SCV is typically located on the fuel pump or the fuel rail, and it works by controlling the amount of fuel that is drawn into the pump based on the pressure in the fuel system. As the pressure drops, the SCV opens to allow more fuel to be drawn into the pump. As the pressure increases, the SCV closes to restrict the flow of fuel.
