IMPORTANT Compatibility information- READ
This universal kit will fit MOST ALL domestic brands WITH a 7 Pin Hitch wiring connector (For the automatic reverse triggers and running lights) For just using a Rocker Switch. It doesn’t matter.
This kit is designed for older model pickup trucks typically prior to 2015 that do not have LED Tail Lights. Newer models have specific brackets and tail light adapters and can be found on our site.
These are compatible with 1980 to 2017-
- Chevy Trucks
- GMC Trucks
- DODGE Trucks
- FORD Trucks (Including 2010-2014 Gen 1 F-150 Raptor)
NOT COMPATIBLE with MOST FOREIGN trucks on the Automatic Trigger Hitch wiring (Due to Trailer Lights Out sensors) However, if only the long harness to a switch is chosen it will work with those models as well.
Each kit comes with a Flat universal bracket that in MOST cases can simply be bolted to an existing bolt behind the rear bumper without drilling. HOWEVER, on some older trucks, there may not be a bolt on the back of the bumper and some drilling MAY be required to mount the light.
The 2010-2014 F-150 Raptors DO have existing bolts to drop down without drilling.
NOTE- IF you want to turn the lights on and off MANUALLY and you choose the Full Length Rear Harness below (Choice 2 and 3) You WILL need to either ADD the “Rocker Switch Harness” selection… UNLESS you have a Gen1 Raptor that HAS Aux switches OR you added or are going to add your own Switch panel. Also note, the basic “Add on Rocker Switch Harness” will have power when the truck is off. So don’t forget to turn it OFF so you don’t run your battery down.

- Plug N Play Pig Tail Harness Extension
- Choice of 3 Harness configurations-
- CHOICE of 3 Harness Configurations:
1: Standard Short Harness with Hitch Reverse Trigger Adapter…. Plug N Play. Automatically triggers the rear lights when put in reverse, triggers the red backlight when tail lights/markers are on.
2: One full length wire harness ONLY (Without Hitch Reverse Trigger Adapter)…. This runs all the way to the engine bay and INCLUDES our Plug N Play Relay Adapter. From there, you can connect it to any single switch wire from in the cab. Look for our other switch options.
3: Utilize BOTH the full harness to connect to a switch AND the Reverse Trigger adapter.
NOTE: 2015-2020 and 2021+ are the same except the optional tail light adapter. The Tail Light Adapters also vary between LED models like the Lariat and the XLT.
Also, Tremor has built in switches and doesn’t need a relay. The other models include our plug in relay with fuse.
